Crewdson, Jane

(1809-1863)

   Cornish-born Jane Fox married Thomas Dillworth Crewdson, a Manchester manufacturer, in 1836. She composed her poetry and hymns during periods of ill health and contributed several hymns to Squire Lovell's Selection of Scriptural Poetry, 1848. Her main publications are: Aunt Jane's Verses for Children, 1851. Lays of the Reformation, 1860. A Little While, and Other Poems, 1864.
